Mini Missions Program Outline
Many Volunteers who have come back from Mission Trips almost always say the same thing. " This was a life changing experience" or "I learned so much being on this trip".
The objective we aim to achieve with our program Mini-Missions is to take the experience of the Mission Trip and present it to elementary school students to help develop their awareness of service and volunteer work and the joy that comes along with it.
We then go a step further and let the students participate in a Mission Trip by collecting some of the much needed items that we use and hand out during our community developing projects. Mini-Missions is an enriching and educational presentation to elementary school students that leaves them actively participating in the project. Here are some details as to how the program works.
1. School or classroom contacts or is contacted by The Mission Calendar Inc. to participate in The Mini Missions Program. Authorized staff or Teacher provides written request for date and time of our Mini Mission presentation to Class Room. Also specify length of time allotted for presentation.
2. Members of The Mission Calendar Inc. Team will arrive with presentation on Service as a Missionary /Volunteer overseas. Stories from previous trips, slide show and video can be included in this presentation depending on time allotted.
3. We then explain to the classroom how they can be involved in an overseas Mission/Volunteer trip by participating in our “Mini Missions Program.”
