New Classrooms built in Honduras
In The Town of Santa Barbara Honduras a group of Missionaries organized by the Chesapeake conference helped a developing elementary school by building additional class rooms for the growing middle school students to have a high school.

The group got up early most mornings and headed out to the work site after breakfast. Mixing cement and laying bricks to put up walls that would one day build the minds of the young Honduran students here. When interviewing the Director of the school he told us “There is no room in our budget for this type of work, now we will have more room for our students and parents can continue to bring their children here with confidence.” He also stated “it is great that we bring our spirit of volunteerism.”

In Honduras the group actually finished the portion of the construction they where responsible for early. Depleting all of the supplies like cement and block. Youth Director Carl Rodriguez then organized a spur of the moment offering from his playbook and most missionaries chipped in some extra cash to extend our work further.

It’s important to finish these types of projects, If not they will never get done. Chesapeake Conference has come to Honduras multiple times over the last twelve years and has seen many projects here see completion.

As a gesture of thanks the school held a special lunch for us when the job was completed.
